
Steve Sprinkle
Founder; B.S. Mechanical Engineering; 24 years patent legal experience; 5 years engineering work experience. Steve Sprinkle founded Sprinkle IP Law Group over 14 years ago after 10 years at two large, national law firms. Steve is responsible for developing and managing client patent portfolios, including developing the portfolios through targeted patent harvesting. Steve has been a patent attorney for over twenty-four years and during that time has gained significant experience performing patent prosecution, patent infringement litigation, patent licensing and patent portfolio development/management. Steve currently focuses his practice on establishing client patent programs, managing patent portfolios, overseeing patent revenue generation campaigns and supervising the firm’s patent prosecution activities. Prior to forming Sprinkle IP Law Group, Steve was the partner in charge of the intellectual property section in the Austin office of Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich, LLP and prior to joining Gray Cary, Steve worked in the Austin office of Baker Botts, LLP for several years. Steve’s practice focuses on start-up technology companies, but through the years he has represented a number of Fortune 1000 companies. Steve obtained his J.D. from the University of Texas and graduated with honors. Prior to entering law school, Steve worked as an engineering test supervisor at Texas Instruments for five years after graduating from the University of Oklahoma with honors with a degree in mechanical engineering. Steve is licensed to practice in Texas and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
